Matt Carlson
As Lead Pastor, Matt also serves as a member of the Leadership Council. Matt has been on staff with Boulder Valley since 2004, sitting as the lead pastor since 2013. He has deep roots in Boulder County and champions what God is doing in Boulder Valley and in this area. Matt grew up in Louisville and now lives in Lafayette with his wife and 3 kids.
Mike Oliver
Mike, and his wife Sally, have been attending Boulder Valley since 2010. Their three children, Ashley, Nick, and Ellie live in Lafayette, Uganda, and Los Angeles respectively. Mike and Sally live in Louisville and own have owned Oliver Photography since 1996. Both have volunteered in various capacities at Boulder Valley over many years. Mike is an avid waterskier who enjoys getting on the water as much as he can!
Bill Stark
Bill and his wife, Soledad, have called Boulder Valley "home" since 2005. Their four kids have grown up in the church: Ryker, Truce, Glelia, and Aviana. Bill and Soledad live just across S.Boulder Rd in the same home Soledad grew up in! Bill is a former IBMer and now operates Cognition Foundry, a tech consulting firm specializing in helping Impact Startups do well by doing good. Bill has served in multiple areas of Boulder Valley, most often in the kids ministry. He's also a passionate leader of young men as a football coach at Fairview High School.
Carla King
Carla and her husband, Dr. William King (Bill), have been part of the Boulder Valley family since 1999. They are blessed with a blended family of four adult children and six grandchildren. Carla first visited the church after driving by one Sunday morning and has been committed to it ever since. Over the years, she has witnessed the church’s growth while remaining faithful to the Word. Carla views her role as a council member as both an honor and a responsibility to the Lord.
Mark Thompson
Mark and his wife, Linda, have been attending Boulder Valley and have been part of Connections Life since 2013. Both have also been Sunday morning greeters for a number of years. Mark has been helping to facilitate support for the 9 families in our church who lost their homes, or use of their homes, in the Marshall Fire. Mark was an Elder at their last church and previously served as Elder at Boulder Valley (2018-2020). Linda and Mark have been married since 1975. They love traveling and spending time with their ‘kids’ and grandkids, who thankfully live locally.
