WHAT TO EXPECT

We know sometimes visiting a church can be a bit intimidating, so let us give you some basic info:

WORSHIP

We will usually sing 3-4 contemporary worship songs during our service. Our desire is for all who gather with us on a Sunday morning to encounter God.

WHO IS BOULDER VALLEY?

Our Mission and Values are who we are. They are reinforced often and guide how we spend our time, energy, and resources. Our mission is the driving force and our values direct what we say and do. These are non-negotiable for our staff and leaders.

For a more detailed understanding of our church and discipleship process, please see our Culture Guide – a simple document that outlines our mission, values, language, and strategies for achieving the above.

Mission: Why Do We Exist?

To Build Authentic Relationships with God and One Another.

Church Values: How Do We Behave?

Commit to Community

Everyone within Boulder Valley commits to community. We are a relational church and transformation happens best in circles, when rubbing shoulders in authentic relationships. The good stuff is when we show up for big and small events in life, laugh with one another, mourn with one another, and pursue God together.

Choose to Contribute

Within Boulder Valley, we make contribution, not consumption, our priority. We hope to inspire you to make this a staple of your character because we are a family on a mission. We want everyone within Boulder Valley to choose to contribute in one of three places: inside or outside the structures of the church. Choosing to contribute to the mission of God is a primary way we become more like Jesus.

Connect to God

Without connection to God, we are merely a social club. We desire for God’s Kingdom to come, and for His will to be done. As we spend intentional time with our Creator, we hope His character begins to rub off on us. Often this means, as followers of Jesus, we will respond differently than the natural ways of our society. We will respond differently to joys and sorrows in life, knowing our identity is in King Jesus. Without connecting to God, we are left to our own self-destructive ends. Yet, with Him, we become adopted sons and daughters that He uses to usher in life to a dying world. Could there be a higher calling? We don’t think so.

Newcomers Card

This is your first step to get connected. We are all about authentic relationships at Boulder Valley and that starts with getting to know you. That is why we have our Newcomers Card. It may seem simple but it could be very powerful. Here you can have a pastor follow up with you, let us know how you are interested in serving, submit your prayer requests, and stay up-to-date with all the latest information via our weekly email. We promise we won’t spam you and you can unsubscribe at any time. We look forward to connecting with you!

Launch

Launch is a two-week discovery process that looks at the intersection of two things: Boulder Valley’s calling and your calling. We sit around a table, eat, get to know each other, explore our giftings, the church’s history, and our mission and vision. But most important- we look at the next step for you to become more like Jesus. In other words, it’s a map to launch you into your next discipleship step. And that is why we want everyone to go through it. Your spiritual journey doesn’t end in these seats. Jesus has so much more for you and we want to help.
