History
Boulder Valley Christian Church is located 4 miles from downtown Boulder. Boasting views of the iconic Flatiron Mountains, the area is known for the love of the outdoors. Rock climbing, skiing, fishing, hiking, and camping are all a short drive away. The area is also known to be intellectual, affluent, spiritual (but not Christian), and progressive. Our church serves Boulder and the surrounding Boulder County communities.
We are a non-denominational church with a healthy congregation of over 400 people. Our average Sunday morning attendance is 200. We would like to see our Sunday attendance increase to 300 in the next two years. The church has been in existence for 60 years. We are debt free with a 26,000sq. ft. facility that sits on a pristine 35 acres. We are growing in health and will measure success through the lens of health.
Boulder Valley is a family that knows who they are and what they are about. We are on mission to 'build authentic relationships with God and one another.' Staff and Leadership Council are aligned and in healthy relationships with each other providing a culture where spiritually hungry, young families can find a home. WHY This ROLE
We are hiring one full time role: Worship Arts Pastor
The Worship Arts Pastor will work closely with our Lead Pastor to create a Sunday Morning experience that accomplishes our mission, vision, and values. The Worship Arts Pastor will also serve on the Executive Team. The purpose of this team is to fiercely protect the mission and vision of Boulder Valley. We meet weekly and focus on high level vision and direction, making sure we are doing what is most important as a church.
EXECUTIVE TEAM
Matt CArlson - Lead Pastor
Matt has been on staff with Boulder Valley since 2004, serving as the lead pastor since 2013. He has deep roots in Boulder County and champions what God is doing in Boulder Valley and in this area. Matt grew up in Louisville and now lives in Lafayette with his wife and 3 kids.
Tyler Adams - Executive PASTOR
Tyler has been on staff with Boulder Valley since 2014. He loves seeing God grab hold of others and change life trajectories. He also loves mountains, surfing, travel, and CrossFit. Tyler and his wife, Alex, live in Frederick with their golden retrievers.
