BVCC Financial Update

The staff of BVCC would like to give regular updates to our church regarding our financial situation and those will be posted here. We strive for transparency in our financial matters and we also strive to execute the utmost in good stewardship. We fully believe that everything we have is God’s and we wish to honor Him by being good stewards in the resources He has entrusted us with.
The staff and elders of BVCC encourage you to seek the Lord, the Bible, and godly counsel as you honor Him with
your finances. As Christians we are called to honor God with our finances and bring the whole tithe (10% of our
income) into the storehouse (the local church) (Malachi 3:10) and to give sacrificially (Mark 12:43). We pray that
you find your consistent, faithful giving of your tithe to the Lord finds you blessed in ways you cannot imagine.
(Malachi 3:10)
Latest update: We were blessed in amazing ways in 2012. Before 2012 began, we committed to increasing our missions budget to 10% in order to model the biblical tithe. It seemed a tall order to increase this area of the budget, when other areas of the budget were hurting, but we felt God's call and acted on it. God moved in many amazing ways throughout the year and we are amazed at how He enabled us to give away over $114,000 during the year! That is an increase of $73,000 over the previous year. We marvel at the stories of how God has used the money He allowed us to give to other worthy causes and missions efforts, both locally and globally.
We are off to a bit of a rocky start in 2013, giving is trailing expenses by about $25,000. We remain confident in God's provision and have been keeping up with our tithe commitment nevertheless.
*BVCC financial statements always available for review, please contact us if you wish to receive a copy. We strive for transparency in how we handle God's money.
Looking ahead
Should 2013 giving turn out stronger than the projected 2013 budget, BVCC will proceed cautiously. One of our primary goals is to build a healthy reserve fund level, however we also want to address deficiencies where they exist, and over
everything else, listen to the Holy Spirit’s leading on how God would have us use any excess funds.
Thank you for your faithfulness to Boulder Valley Christian Church, not only in the area of finances, but also serving
and praying for our church. The staff of BVCC is honored to serve and share life alongside you as we seek “To
know God and make Him known.”

How can you help?
As a church, we are subject to constantly fluctuating income levels. This is unfortunately a consistent matter that we deal with, which sometimes makes wise spending difficult. If you call BVCC your church home, we really appreciate consistency in giving your 10% tithe to help support all God is doing at BVCC and beyond. To help make it simpler to give, we offer online giving….with our online giving tool, you have the ability to set up a recurring giving option, so you don’t have to worry about writing a check each month. We also offer other giving options, such as stocks and bond donations…contact Zach, our Administrative Pastor for more information. Thank you for your faithful support of BVCC, without your participation we would not be here!
If you would like to discuss any financial matters or discuss giving, please don’t hesitate to contact any of the elders, or Zach. Thanks again for all your support!
